Arlington, VA – December 16, 2019
This week the Arlington Community Foundation released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for private owners of rental housing in Arlington County to participate in the achievement of ACF’s Shared Prosperity Initiative affordable housing goal to increase committed affordable units for households earning 30% AMI or less. Selected owners will receive grant funding from ACF to write down the rents on selected housing units in their portfolios or near-term pipeline.
The RFP explains the criteria for owners and properties who are eligible to participate in this funding round and requests information on the owners, management and properties proposed for the program. Proposal submissions are due January 22, 2020. For a PDF of the full eligibility rules and an outline of the proposal questions, click here. Note that submissions must be made via our online application form, which can be accessed by clicking here.
Following proposal submission, ACF will make an initial eligibility review and may seek additional clarifying information from applicants. Those selected to continue in the review process will be asked to provide additional information via in-person interviews and/or site visits to proposed properties. ACF expects to complete the review and selection process during February and March of 2020. Applicants will be updated if there is any change in this schedule.
A Question and Answer (Q&A) session for interested applicants will be held at the ACF office on January 8th from 2-3:30pm, 818 N. Quincy St. Suite 103, Arlington VA 22203. To RSVP and for additional information including a call-in number please contact Natalia Muniz at email@example.com.
