The Arlington Community Foundation is a non-profit organization that also manages funds and endowments for philanthropic causes. Below are the types of funds and endowments we manage :-
Donor Advised: These funds allow individuals to specify grants to specific organization, or Arlington Community Foundation (ACF) may recommend programs that match the donor's interests. ACF verifies that the grant complies with all IRS regulations and is compatible with ACF's broad charitable vision.
Field of Interest: These funds support a specific program or organization. ACF's scholarship program falls in this catergory, with student scholarships given from a variety of funds, each with its own specific criteria.
Discretionary: These are a diverse range of funds that suppor existing community needs and are awarded on a competitive basis. We welcome applications for these funds from qualified 501 (c)(3) organizations serving Arlington. These discretionary funds include our Fund for Arlington, Prompt Response Fund, Community Scholarship Fund, Arlington Education Fund, Homelessness Prevention Fund, and the Community Fund for the Arts.
Agency Endowment: These are endowment funds which the Arlington Community Foundation manages on behalf of non-profit organizations.
