The Arlington Community Foundation engages the next generation of philanthropists through our NextGenNow Fund. NextGenNow is comprised of professionals in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Members combine their philanthropic giving toward an annual cause, which allows them to have a greater impact on the community than if they were giving individually. The cause changes annually, based on the group’s consensus on issues members care most about and the most pressing issues facing Arlington County. In addition, members get involved by learning about the needs facing Arlington, the people who live here and the local nonprofit organizations that work to address these needs.

NextGenNow’s contributions are invested in a fund that allows members to make a difference today and in the future. Recent grant recipients are: The Reading Connection, Arlington Partnership for Affordable Housing (APAH) and PAVE (Promoting Awareness, Victim Empowerment).

This initiative is co-chaired by Susan T. Anderson and Kevin Shooshan.
