Community Enhancement

Overview

Community Enhancement Grants are awarded annually each Fall, with requests for proposals distributed in late Summer. Nonprofits serving Arlington may submit one request for up to $10,000 for either general operating support or for a specific project.  Preference will be given to those non-profit organizations clearly showing their ability to meet a well-defined community need, and to those who leverage their resources by, for example, cooperating and collaborating with other organizations, using volutneers effectively, etc.  The number and size of the awards will vary according to the number and merit of the applications received.

  • Promotes volunteerism and/or community involvement
  • Encourages cooperation and collaboration

  • Has clear goals and methods of measuring success
